Ta’ Xbiex is quieter and more residential than Sliema. It doesn’t have the same number of shops, bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Rents for comparable seafront apartments run similar to or slightly below Sliema’s prime stretches, and you’re still only a short walk or bus ride from Sliema itself when you want the busier atmosphere.
